This property, originally built in 1962, was converted into the first Boutique Apartments LuxeTM building in 2008, with extensive higher-end finishes and space-saving upgrades in its 15 units. Prana is a tribute to the Sanskrit word meaning vital, life-sustaining energy. Its units were specifically designed in alternating cool and warm tones, to reflect the different energies.

Exterior Renovation

Exterior renovations included new stucco siding, stamped concrete, custom-designed patio railings, new soffits, designer building signage and a new courtyard with landscaping, gas grill, patio furniture and gazebo. The parking lot was repaved and re-striped.

Common Area Renovation

The building received a new evaporative cooling system and boiler. In addition, a workout/ media room, new laundry facilities featuring high-efficiency washers and dryers, designer door signage, and a courtyard patio with gas grill and seating were added.

Unit Renovation

The interiors were completely gutted and given new paint and texture, FSC-certified hardwood floors, granite countertops, designer cabinets, appliances, designer lighting and tiles, slate floor tiling in kitchen, walk-in closet and pantry organizers, built-in safes, energy-efficient windows, window coverings, hardware, tub, sink and faucets. All units received a 37″ flat-screen TV, and the three studio apartments were given a built-in Murphy bed.

Green Building Features

Eco-friendly updates include a Pro-Temp boiler controller, recycling services for the building, energy-efficient windows, low-flow shower heads and toilets, FSC-certified wood floors, high- efficiency washers and dryers in the laundry room, compact florescent lighting, and electricity provided by WindSource through Xcel Energy for all common areas.
